I-4 Express from State Road 434 to Kennedy Boulevard Closing Overnight on July 14

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is temporarily closing eastbound and westbound I-4 Express from east of State Road (S.R.) 434 to west of Kennedy Blvd. overnight from 11 p.m. on July 14 to 5 a.m. on July 15.

This closure will include the initial westbound I-4 Express slip ramp entrance at E.E. Williamson Road, the westbound I-4 Express direct connect entrance ramp from Central Parkway, the westbound I-4 Express slip ramp entrance near S.R. 436, and the eastbound I-4 Express slip ramp entrance near Kennedy Blvd.

The closure is necessary for wrong way vehicle detection installation.

Drivers wishing to travel on westbound I-4 Express will be able to enter I-4 Express via the slip ramp entrance east of Lee Road (S.R. 423). Drivers traveling on eastbound I-4 Express will need to exit I-4 Express east of Lee Road (S.R. 423) to continue on the general use lanes of I-4.

Drivers can also expect lane closures on westbound I-4 near the Central Parkway bridge overpass between 11 p.m. on July 14 and 6 a.m. on July 15.
